Mods are people as well. They have to read _a_lot_ of stuff every single day, so some of them will be very 'direct' with the things they say. I skimmed what I believe to be the threat in question and I am familiar with the mod. They do 'not' have a nervous trigger finger and I've read some very 'to the point'-statements from them in the past. Stuff that sticks in your mind for quite a while.
I think what they were trying to say was that you already have several threats in the art forum which are all rather active. I have not checked those threads, but my suspicion is that at least one of them took a similar direction.
Again: I have not read much of it, but I think it was the following forum rule that was applied: "Any new thread should be an attempt for genuine art discussion and/or critique. In doubt, you can PM the mod and ask them for an explanation that's a bit longer to avoid future conflicts.
I get the "importance" of their jobs and all, but the guy literally accused me of stealing art AND locked a thread that had no other issues (The "Lewd my OC" thread) So there's no excuse for that other than the classical "I did it because I could do it"
@Mazooe Ah. I looked and found the 'other thread in question' now. Now I know what your other news post was about.
It's not as bad as on DeviantArt, but Newgrounds frequently has users uploading other peoples' hard work as their own. And they merely said they "suspect" you - which is a significant difference.
From my perspective, the easiest way to deal with that situation (and save face) would be to set some time aside to draw a single new, more intricate piece, add your signature, upload it to the art portal and send it to the moderator, together with a link to your news post I referred to above.
You don't have to rush it. Take your time... And in the end, you will be very pleased with yourself when you share your new art piece with the world. :)
I'll draw at my pace, that's for sure, but I don't owe him anything, mod or not. If he has his doubts he could act like a man, not a mod, and ask me, I'm open for any kind of question, besides, I cleared it up in a previous post about it. But my world and my art don't revolve around him or anyone but me and my own. In the end I could do a brilliant piece with my name marked in stone for him but AFAIK/care he's just prodding trouble. And I'm not a fish to bite the bait.
Ok, now this is some old bullshit. My thread got deleted, I made a "Lewd up my OC" thread and it got deleted without any explanation... Just... wtf man....
@Mazooe I must admit that I do not get why you are so fixated on them. This is not about them at all; it's about you. Nobody is trying to 'trick/bait you' into daring another, more intricate piece and you certainly would not be drawing it for somebody else; you'd draw it for yourself. As I said: 'From my perspective', it would be the easiest way to deal with that situation - and it would also 'future proof' your work against further remarks of that kind (including from users).
The other thing? Yeah, you might have made a threat too many. If you think you made a mistake, you apologize. If you don't think so, then don't. This is not that much of a big deal. Humans make mistakes.
The threats were merely closed; not removed. And the other two active threads by you are still open. You didn't even receive some kind of timed ban over it.
Update: Okay, one thread got deleted. From what I remember there was only one art contribution.
ToaS is one trigger happy mod. He temporarily banned me on the BBS some time ago for, like, the most dumbass and trivial reason you can imagine. xd
You could make up the most random reason and I would believe you, trust me. He reminds me of a Discord mod, your average. I was with (non english Speaking) friends on VC and we were talking about the Machinima series Civil Protection (Half Life 2's enemy NPCs) and one got banned for saying (he was trying to say it in english since the mod was banning non english speaker) "We were talking CP" (and CP IS a canon abreviation of Civil Protection both in Machinima and HL2)
